Iloilo The Beautiful

I am uploading my Iloilo vacaction pictures on my blog, because they look prettier here than on FB :D

We arrived at the afternoon so we planned to go eat our Merienda at Roberto's

I recommend the Queen and King Siopao, I could barely finish the whole thing, my sister and I had to share this.

The meatballs are also good (yummy!) Watch out for the halo-halo though, it's not that good. It tastes like an iced fruit salad.

Watch the sunset at Fort San Pedro. No sunset's for us, because we were there at 5pm :D The sun is still beaming, but we still took some pictures. I've been told, watching the sunset here is amazing, so if you could spare the extra hour of waiting, it's up to you. You can also have dinner at Afrique's a nearby Italian Restaurant. The food there is great, and cheaper than the standard Manila prices :D

Day 2: Guimaras Tour
Go to Ortiz terminal and ride the ferry to Guimaras (It only costs P12.00). The ride took approximately 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival at Guimaras, you may sign-up at the Tourism desk, they offer transportation as well as tours.

We went straight to Raymen's beach (travel time approximately 40 min) and we rented a cottage for the day.

Then we went island-hopping (sorry didn't bother to bring my camera since it might get wet). We went to SEAFDEC (which apparently means Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center), The Ave Maria Caves, and Turtle Island. We also got to have our pictures taken with a sea turtle, an swim in an isolated island (yay! no jellyfish! and no other people).

We went back after two and a half hours, ate lunch and swam the entire afternoon ^_^
Before we went home, we visited the Trappist Monastery and brought some Mango Bars.

We were able to go home early, so we stopped over at La Paz market to eat halo-halo. Others may opt to savor the famous La Paz Batchoy.

Day 3: Cultural Tour
We decided to visit my friend Mars who lives in Miagao, and while there, we took some pictures of the world-famous church.

On our way home, we decided to stop at the churches of each town (though I intentionally missed out Oton hehe)

Day 4: Le Tour de Iloilo Gastronomique
This only means one thing: TATOY's!!!

Goodbye Iloilo!

We brought our pasalubong's (presents, omiyage) at SM City - Biscocho House, then off to the airport and go back to Manila.
